“Today I stand here not just 4 stone lighter and healthier, but equipped with the skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
How can you say thank you for somebody who changed your life? I came to simplyweight not so much as a last resort but more of a last cry for help. Through simplyweight I learned things about myself and the world, things I thought I already knew but I couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Today I stand here not just 4 stone lighter and healthier, but equipped with the skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for helping me grow into a person we all should aspire to be and for giving me the opportunity to help others with everything I have learned. Last but not least thank you for showing me the way to a happy healthy and balanced life.
Such an enjoyable program! I really want to thank you and to say how amazing you are at making me realise my mistakes in life truly can be put aside and forgotten. All the therapists I’ve been to over the years for anxiety etc. have never had any lasting effects on me but after a few short weeks I’m already walking tall and proud.
I have lost a considerable amount of weight. However, what I do feel is I had such a nice change of mindset where I no longer need to attach a number of the scale to how I feel. I no longer need to achieve this number to make me feel good or like I’m achieving things in my life.
It’s so much more about the mental change rather than the physical one. And when you have the mental then the physical one will come. It’s just fantastic.
I’ve lost 25 kg. I’m feeling very cheerful and I expect to get to my intended weight and stay there, possibly for the first time in my life, to have that expectation rather than having that sneaking feeling that I would rebound. So this is the most successful program I have ever undertaken and I’m very glad to have done it.
It enabled me to learn how to control my appetite and how to eat healthy. I learned so much about my body, how to basically deal with family, friends, how to be out and about and still enjoy life and enjoy food. I’m so grateful and it’s one of the best things that happened to me to come to Simplyweight.
My health was deteriorating. I would become prediabetic, I was anxious and not feeling positive about myself. My anxiety now has gone from a big black hole to a quarter the size. I’m trying really hard to pull myself out of that doom and gloom and it’s definitely working for me. My prediabetes has come right down, my blood pressure has come down, my weight has come down and I’m really feeling positive about my health, the things that I’m eating and the road that I’m on is a road to positivity.
I’ve been struggling with my weight for the last 20 years. Tried all the diets, none of which worked really. Kept losing a bit and then going back to even more weight than I had. Joined the Simplyweight program and I’ve found it really beneficial both from a weight loss side, the simpeace side which is really benefitted me moreso than the actual weight loss side of things.
I’ve spent the last 20 years on antidepressants and I’ve actually come off them now. Just feeling a lot more happy with myself and more confident with myself. I would recommend this program to anyone really for weight loss and for general wellbeing.
I’ve managed to lose at least 8kg in weight, and I do feel better. My diet has changed and my whole outlook on life has altered. Out has gone the sugary foods but I do still allow myself the odd treat. I’ve started taking time out of the day for myself, 5 mins in the morning and 10 mins before I go to sleep to prepare myself for the day ahead or for a good night’s sleep.
It’s changed my relationship with my life. We now use smaller plates so it looks like we have more food but it’s actually less. When we go shopping we don’t just put things in the trolley and look more at what we’re buying and eating.
My biggest benefit has been the simpeace and instead of the weight loss that became my goal. Once I understood that at the start, I didn’t have a weight loss goal at that point. It became being happy in myself because I knew the weight loss would come after that.
And relaxing about who I am and what I do, just allowed me to have more time because I wasn’t stressing about the other things. So yes, to me the simpeace is the key and if you can accept that and give it the time for it to work for you then it really will.
I’ve lost about a stone and 4 pounds on the program which I’m really pleased about. I find all of the information on the website really useful. I have recommended it to lots of people and I find it really easy to follow. I don’t find it restrictive and although I don’t eat nearly as much as I did before, I don’t feel nearly as hungry as I did. The psychological aspect of the program has helped me as I’ve learnt the various different types of hunger and able to recognise them now. I will continue to be on the program until I’ve lost the weight that I want to. I’m not finding it a burden or a bind and for me that’s the beauty of this program.
I have lost 12kg in 3 months and I can fit into my smallest clothes which I haven’t worn since I had my children. Thanks simplyweight!
I was finding it hard to cope with my Diabetes and really needed to lose weight to improve my health. Also my body image and confidence were really low and I never used to socialise. Thanks to simplyweight I’ve managed to lose 3 stone in just 3 months and reduced my medication dosage too. Really pleased with the service!”
Expect to actually learn not just about why you eat but so much about yourself. That’s the one thing that I’ve really learnt is that the weight for me is probably a very small part of everything else that’s going on and the things that I need to change and this has been a very positive experience. I’ve learnt so much about me and going forward all I can see that this is a continual thing. It’s not a quick fix so don’t expect to lose loads of weight really quickly. If you do, you’re not listening and you’re not doing it properly.
But I think this is life changing and the things that I’ve learnt here I think will be with me for the rest of my life hopefully. All I can say is to give yourself the best chance is to participate, learn all the skills you’re being taught and take them forward because it will change you forever, I promise.
The main reason I joined this program was to get rid of the diet mentality. I’ve been on every diet you can imagine. I bought all the books, the apps, been to all of the groups. And yes, at the time I lost weight with all of them and with all of them I gained it all back on and then some. It was that diet mentality, that feeling that I needed to count, to weigh, to limit myself and restrict myself, it’s that that I really wanted to get rid of. Now I’m 11 weeks in and I can honestly say it’s changed my life. I can honestly say I have not been on a diet for the last 11 weeks and can honestly say I’ll never be on a diet ever again.
The weight and the food side of this program is important but not the most important thing. It’s really good to learn the science behind it and that’s what I found fascinating. The reasons why you eat or why I might overeat. The most important thing is how I’ve learnt to feel about myself, how I learnt to feel happy with me, about what I can do and achieve. How I learnt to set goals and live in the here and now. If I want to do something, I do it now.
I feel like it’s brought a lot of balance to my life. I feel a lot more balanced in the way I look at myself, the way I look at the activities I do. Even the food that I eat, my plate is more balanced.
Since coming to Simplyweight I’ve lost 2 stone (12.7kg) and I was diabetic. My blood sugar was over 15 when I came but now I’m classed in a normal range, averaging at about 6.
And I think it’s been life changing. I feel a lot better in myself. I used to have trouble if I got down to do a job, getting back up. Now it’s all become a lot easier. So I’m very grateful to Simplyweight for making this change in me and I hope to be with them longer and lose more weight.
The weight programs I’ve done in the past, the once a week Weight Watchers have been successful in their own way, but to have people being attentive, interested to know what you’re eating and how you’re getting on every day and encouraging you. People you can ask questions with, that’s made such a difference. That’s why I think Simplyweight is different and special.
It’s made a huge difference to my life, having not only lost weight but also had a lot of help mentally to deal with life and different aspects of it in a more positive way. I’ve certainly learnt a lot, things that I didn’t know at all, especially about food and the way in which we get taught about food throughout our lives which is not necessarily right. It’s been a really positive outcome. I feel healthier and happier than when I started the process.
I really thought [on positive affirmations] that this is not gonna work, this isn’t me, it’s not for me and how can saying positive things actually change or affect someone’s mental and their lifestyle in general. But I did it, and it’s completely changed how I am. A few weeks on, I feel positive, I’m doing things I would normally not do. Going to gym, socialising more. I’ve even changed the colours I’m wearing and I’m moving away from being negative. So if there’s any advice I could give is that positive affirmations really help and don’t undermine it at all.
The program is fantastic in the fact that you can eat basically anything you want. I’d have Christmas and New Year coming up and I was able to go out and enjoy my time with friends but instead of just carrying on eating after that, it’s about looking at portion control, calorific content etc.
Simplyweight is absolutely fantastic. It’s given me a whole new lease of life and I love me.
